Do You Suffer With Puffy Nipples?

A lot of males who have gynecomastia tend to develop puffy nipples or, in medical terms, ‘areolas’ or sometimes ‘areolae’. The Greek language has given us thousands of medical terms and ‘gynecomastia’ is one of them. So…

  • ‘gyne’= woman
  • ‘mastos’= breast.

The condition of gynecomastia does not respect age  and is a problem for boys as much as older men and, I appreciate from meeting individuals, young and not so young, that they are both embarrassed and concerned. As I say,I know this first-hand from my work as a Fitness Advisor due to the fact that I have been involved right from suggesting that a guy to see his physician to get a diagnosis thru’ to helping a male after diagnosis. Men, in general, do find it hard to talk about their medical problems, let alone puffy areolas but it is so important to obtain a professional diagnosis that any help from someone like myself is not only good but essential.

The good news for adolescent males is that 93% of sufferers, with any sort of symptom of gynecomastia, will see it vanish, usually within 3 years. In the case of the 7% in whom the condition remains, your physician should be able to home in on the cause fairly quickly.

The remedies may well include adjustments of a nutritional or lifestyle nature and/or medical steps to tackle the hormonal imbalance lying at the root of those male puffy nipples. The problem is caused first and foremost by an imbalance in 2 hormones, androgen and estrogen: the feminising hormone is estrogen and androgen is one of the hormones responsible for masculinity. Put simply, the normal equilibrium is upset.

Men who continue to have gynecomastia beyond their ‘teens will realise that there must be other causes:

Hormonal balance can occasionally be upset by some medically prescribed drugs or medications.

Over-use of anabolic steroids will do likewise.

Those guys who smoke marijuana for prolonged periods risk upsetting the balance of the 2 hormones giving rise to puffy areolas.

Drinking alcohol to excess will, before too long, have feminizing effects.

As men grow older, the risk of gynecomastia increases, increasingly so over 60.

There are a lot of other possible causes, some serious in their own right, where gynecomastia is an added effect. These are listed elsewhere on my website ‘The Best Chest Guide’ but those mentioned here tend to be the most common causes of puffy nipples.

Having gymecomastia can cause an individual to adopt poor posture, wear baggy sweaters, shirts etc. in an attempt to conceal the condition. Some will spend 0 to 0 dollars-or more- on compression garments worn underneath their clothes. Indeed, literally dozens of companies have sprung up to cater for this need!

However, before long remedial action must be taken and the good news is that there are available other alternative, drug-free solutions. I have evaluated many of these and include the best on my website, together with lots more information for those individuals with the problem of puffy nipples.

You do not have to undergo expensive surgery!
