For years now, we all have heard about how important it is to live a healthy lifestyle. This includes eating right, getting regular exercise, balancing workload with some fun. Most of us agree that this is the right way to go. But do we really take time to do it?
If you do, good for you and the people around you; but if you are murmuring something like who cares, well, you should. Some people think that it is just all about balancing work and exercise because it is about gaining and losing weight or keeping in shape. Wake up. It is definitely much more than that.
It is essential for one to achieve a balance in life for his own well being. More than aiming to be physically fit, one must also aim to be emotionally and psychologically fit. This is not really impossible, as they are interrelated.
If you allow stress to get the best of you, what do you get in return? You get early signs of aging such as frown lines and wrinkles. Either you eat too much or too little, which results in weight problems. For some, it can even go as bad as erectile dysfunction. Nobody wants that. Becoming irritable all the time can cost relationships too. When your family and friends start to disappear, you start to feel alone. And so the vicious cycle starts.
Thus, finding balance and doing everything in moderation is an important factor that will help us have better lives. Remember, it is not just about work and exercise. Live a life that allows you to appreciate the work that you do. If you have no liking for fitness equipment, do not push yourself. Perhaps you will find jogging with a friend more leisurely. Why not reward yourself with a new set of ATV tires for a job well done. Or perhaps the Canon SLR camera will help you see your job in a different light.
In the end, a better life is not necessarily directly related to dollars. A better life is one that is well balanced. A life that is busy enough so that moments of rest are also appreciated. A better life is one that allows you to do the things that you want to do; and have time to spend it with the people dearest to you. Having this kind of life helps, you fight everyday stress.
It may need a lot of effort, self-discipline and time management; but everything will be worth it. Once you have achieved a well-balanced lifestyle, good things will follow. The peace and calm that you have within will show at work. People will be inspired by the glow that you have; and will start to aim for the same. Before you know it, you have affected more lives in a positive way than you had ever imagined.

It’s a shame to come to the realization that many of us will go their whole lives without ever really getting to experience and appreciate the beauty and majesty of the great outdoors. Mother Nature is all around, a short drive for anyone to appreciate and yet so little do in comparison to those that don’t. My hope through this article is the change of priority to encourage those who normally wouldn’t to find something worth trying outside.
I could simply say, ‘you should get out there and do something amid nature’, but that wouldn’t really give you any indication of what these types of activities could be if you weren’t already an outdoorsy kind.
The first thing to suggest might be the most complicated in terms of planning and execution, but it might be the most satisfying when it is all said and done. Taking a camping trip with some friends or your family could really get you back in touch with the world around you as well as those people that are around you. There is an indescribable bond that occurs with those spending time together camping, and it is something magical for whole families to experience.
But not everyone might have the opportunity to slip away for a few days and nights to sleep in a tent and build up a fire for their family. So you might just hop on your Yamaha ATV, or whatever you ride, and hit some four-wheeler trails with some friends. Anyone with an ATV can tell you that riding one will beat running a treadmill any day. Each will get your heart rate going, but only one doesn’t require strenuous routines on fitness equipment.
If you are a stickler for some exercise with your delve into Mother Nature, perhaps you should get some close friends or family and go out on a hike. Every single state offers several parks offering miles and miles of hiking trails, all with beautiful sights to see. The best ones have lookout points, for you to take out your Canon SLR camera and memorialize the moments of majestic scenery with you and your hiking companions.
How about a knock down drag out fight against the wild? Meaning, why don’t you try some hunting or fishing? Not only will you find yourself tuning into the natural instincts inherent in all of us, you will find yourself appreciating the subtle nuances of nature through your success or failure.
There are no shortages in outdoor activities. These are just a few, but I hope that they inspired you enough to get out there and make something happen to get back in tune with nature based activities.
