If You Just Get Three People To Join Your MLM Business, The Sky Is The Limit…Or Not

Several months ago, I was so excited about my MLM business.  My sponsor told me that if I just got three people into my business and helped them get three, then all of my financial concerns would simply disappear.  Well guess what?  I got my three distributors into the business and I remember being very happy the day I signed up number three.  Who are the members of my dream team?  Let me introduce you to Mark, Sarah and Pat.  Mark is very successful and knows quite a bit about advertising and marketing.  Sarah has lived in the same small town for over fifty years and she knows almost everyone in town, and Pat is in real estate and has over a thousand people on her Facebook page!

I was very excited about the products and now I had my first three people in place and we were ready to roll.  If I could get them moving, the sky was the limit.  Sarah immediately signed up her daughter, but because she had no money, Sarah paid for her daughter to get into the business.  Now Sarah was excited!  Then her daughter, who was not really interested in being part of the business went online and found multiple entries that spoke negatively about our company.  Sarah cares for her daughter and thinks highly of her opinion.  She believes that if something is in print, it must be true.  As I said, Sarah knows everyone in town, but Sarah has yet to get anyone else involved other than her daughter.  So now I had four people in my downline.  Two of them were going nowhere, so I needed to focus my time and efforts on Mark and Pat.

As I said earlier, Mark is very smart and is a successful businessman.  For weeks, he worked to create his own marketing materials and paid a lot of money to have them printed, even though the company has fantastic marketing tools available for free.  Not a good sign.  He has created graphs, projections and charts outlining his future success in the business.  He went so far as to create a business plan and stated that he was willing to share it with anybody on my team.  Two months went by and Mark was still getting ready to get ready.  Thank goodness for Pat.  She is a mover and a shaker!  She is in real estate and I see her interacting on Facebook all the time.  The night she went to her first meeting with me, she said that it would be like opening the flood gates once she got started.  I see her daily on Facebook and see her interacting several times per day.  I am amazed that none of this daily chatter has anything to do with the business.  Not once have I seen her even mention it on Facebook.  I noticed it was more and more difficult to reach her until finally, she stopped returning my calls.  What was I supposed to do now?  My sponsor is not doing much better.  He has only nine distributors on his team.  I am running out of good leads.  What am I going to do now?
