Wondering why it seems so impossible to achieve your much desired increase in height? Do you know the secret why some of your friends are so tall while you’re left a few inches shorter than the rest? Want to gain height but are confused as to what you must do? Many people are actually suffering from the same problem and facing the same dilemma, and many individuals are also in search of ways to become taller.

If you really want an increase in your height, you should familiarize yourself with the different factors that affect a person’s growth. A person will continue to grow as long as his or her body produces growth hormones. These hormones are released by the endocrine system as signaled by the brain, and the amount of these hormones in your body determines the growth that you experience.

From birth till you reach the puberty age, growth hormones are continuously produced by your body, so it is at these stages that physical growth is very evident. Once you get past puberty, hormone production is reduced and the growth slows down. Other than this usual pattern, these hormones are also the product of genes, which will depend on your parents.

Now if you want to gain height, you must have enough hormones in your body to promote growth. The factors that you need to look into here are: the food you eat, the amount of sleep you get, and your activities. These factors, when taken into consideration, will lead to an increase in height.

You know that your body needs healthy foods for its natural bodily operations and processes. Your food intake also affects the production of the growth hormones, so you need ones that are good to the body, specifically foods rich in proteins. Protein is an essential nutrient in the production of hormones, so see to it that you eat food rich in this nutrient.

Your body can efficiently generate growth hormones if it is in a relaxed state. Thus, you better manage your stress and always get ample sleep. Sleep is the time for the body to recharge and heal, and it is the time when the brain triggers the release and circulation of growth hormones in the body. To become taller, you should sleep for at least eight hours a day.

Another thing that promotes hormone release is physical activity. Thus, it is imperative that you engage in physical activities such as running, walking, exercising, etc. Inactive lifestyle should not have a place in your pursuit for a better height. Always see to it that you engage in some physical activities in spite of your busy schedule.

All of the above factors are very important in your goal to gain height. All your effort will eventually result in height increase.
